Adventure Awaits in Seward!
Glaciers, wildlife, and wild memories—Seward is where Alaska comes to play. Whether you're kayaking beside sea otters, reeling in an epic catch, or cruising through fjords, there's no shortage of jaw-dropping things to do. Ready to explore?
-
Glacier Bay Cruises
Major Marine and Kenai Fjords Tours at the 2 major companies providing 4 - 8-hour cruises around the bay that feature seeing marine wildlife, tidal glaciers, and amazing rock formations.

-
Kayak Adventures
Kayaking around the bay can be magical! We highly recommend going with a company, even if you are an experienced paddler to make sure you get to see the coolest places. We recommend going with Kayak Adventures Worldwide, Adventure 60 North (just down the street from us), or Liquid Adventures.

-
Charter Fishing Trips
There is no better of a souvenir than having a freezer full of fish you caught during your Alaskan adventure. People really enjoy going on charter fishing trips even if they aren't typically into fishing (unless you are prone to sea sickness, then this activity might be good to pass on). Some companies we recommend for 1/2 day to full day trips: Fish House or J-Dock.

-
Helicopter Tours
If you have ever thought about splurging on a helicopter ride, Seward is the place to do it! It's amazing the views and places you can access with a helicopter and this is a once in a lifetime kind of experience. For the ultimate tour, we recommend going with Marathon Helicopters.

-
Dogsledding
We have 2 options for dogsledding just around the corner from the property. Ididaride and Turning Heads Kennel both feature sled tours that include racers in the famous Iditarod Race. This is a great tour for dog lovers, people interested in learning more about the Iditarod Race, and also a fun activity to fill 2 hours.

-
Walking around Downtown
The Downtown is a hopping place! With lots of interesting options for restaurants, souvenirs, coffee shops, and an awesome waterfront walking path with views of the bay and opportunities to see wildlife (otters/eagles/sealions/and even whales sometimes).

-
Visit Sealife Center
Sometimes we have rainy days. While you will regularly hear locals say "no bad weather, just bad gear," some of us don't like getting wet and the Sealife Center is a great place to explore wildlife ...and stay dry.

-
Hiking
There are TONS of awesome hikes around Seward. For our favorites, check out our Hikes page. You can also go with an awesome local guide through Seward Guided Hikes.

White-Water Rafting or Float
Looking for some serious white-water rafting bragging rights. Check out Chugach Outdoor Adventures for some exciting rapids! Not looking for rapids, but still wanting to get a float in. They are also a great go-to for float trips for all ages as well!
