We do not provide firewood for firepit. Sometimes guests leave firewood behind for the next guest to use. Safeway Grocery Store, less than 5 minutes' drive away, sells bundles of firewood. So do many of the gas stations in town.
We do not provide charcoal or lighter fluid for the grill. We recommend purchasing at Safeway Grocery Store, less than 5 minutes' drive away. We do provide grill accessories (such as large spatula).
Yes, we have 5 cabins total on the property. Each one is perfectly positioned to have incredible mountain and river views.
Yes, there are taxis and Ubers in Seward. If you are coming in by train, we recommend you set this up in advance as you might have to wait 30 minute+ if you don't request a taxi or Uber until you arrive.
Local Taxi Companies
Aunt May's Taxi and Transportation: 907-491-1535
Red Taxi: 907-224-2727
Resurrection Taxi: 907-224-5678
*You can let the Taxi company know we are 2 properties down from the KOA.
We are approximately 3.5 miles from the train station and harbor (they are right next to each other).
We recommend renting a car if staying multiple days. There is a Thrifty car rental right next to the train station, if you are coming into town this way. This provides the greatest convenience with moving around easily as activities and dining options are spread out.
However, using taxis/Ubers are also an option, as we are located close to many things.
Safeway Grocery Store: 3 miles away
Train Station/Harbor: 3.5 miles away
Resurrection Roadhouse (breakfast/lunch/dinner): 1/4 mile away - walking distance
Downtown Seward: 4.5 miles away
If you do choose to use a taxi/Uber, we recommend setting up pick-up from train station/harbor in advance. You can also use the local taxis to set up transportation to activities and for sightseeing around town.

Our top windows in our cabins do not have blackout curtains. This means that it does not get completely dark at night for June - July (around Summer Solstice). If you are needing it to be completely dark to sleep, we recommend bringing eye masks.
Our Whale and Moose cabins are our largest cabins, sleep up to 4 people (1 queen bed downstairs and 1 full-sized bed in the loft). They offer a full kitchen and sitting area, with bar stool kitchen seating for up to 4 people. They each have a private fire pit and grill.
Our Bear Cabins (Polar Bear, Grizzly, and Black Bear) are smaller cabins. They sleep 2 people (1 queen sized bed). They each have a kitchenette that consists of a small fridge, microwave, coffee station, small sink, and plates/utensils. (They do not have cooking stove or pots.) They each have private porch that is perfectly situated for maximum views of mountains, river, and wildlife. The porch offers 2 Adirondack chairs and cafe table. They share a firepit area.
We provide 100% refund if more than 30 days out from check in date. If cancelling between 7-30 days before arrival date, then guests receive 50% refund. Please review your trip details on the booking platform you used (Airbnb or VRBO) for further details. This will give you the exact information and directions on cancelling.
We use Starlink, with local preference to optimize speed and connection. With that said, we are still in a remote area of Alaska and the wi-fi can be spotty at times. All phone carriers work at our location, so we recommend making sure your plan has a backup hotspot with unlimited service if you are dependent on wi-fi for work or other necessary functions.
We do try to provide early check in and late check out when possible. Please message us to see if this is possible for your date.
Pets are not allowed. We do not do exceptions for this as we want to make sure our space is allergen-free for our guests and cleaning staff that has great sensitivity to this.
We do not allow trailers or RVs, as we do not want any of the views to be obstructed for our other guests. We have an awesome KOA located two properties down from us which we recommend using.
